Are you looking to join a group ride (ours maybe?), but feel unsure about the ins and outs of riding in a group? Do you simply want to work on a few aspects of road riding to ride your bike with more confidence? This 2 part clinic is for you! Now that the season has started, it’s time to work on a few basic skills together, like:
- clipping in and out
- riding in a straight line
- shoulder checking
- taking one hand off the handlebar
- riding/looking through a corner
- hand signals
- gear shifting
- basic group ride etiquette/skills
With all these tools, you’ll be fully equipped for all your upcoming rides. Come learn with us!
Bring: All riders should have a capable road bike with drop handlebars. Riders are responsible for ensuring bikes are in good, working condition. Riders must supply their own snacks, water, and a repair kit in the event of a flat tire. Helmets are mandatory.
Is this ride for you? At Liv Vancouver, we want to create opportunities for women to ride more and find a community of other women to ride with. This 2 day clinic is aimed at novice riders looking to learn more skills in order to gain confidence on the bike. This is a good opportunity for those learning to clip in and out of their pedals and wanting to learn the dynamics of riding in a group.
